5th iNet International Conference, 26 28 November 2008

The ICP is a global association of school leadership organisations. It has over 40 members, made up of school leadership associations. Each member is itself a major organisation that supports the professional development and work of school leaders.

The ICP Constitution includes the following major goals, which complement iNet's mission and objectives. The ICP seeks to:

• Encourage closer relationships between school leaders of all nations
• Promote the exchange of people and professional publications among the constituent groups and encourage participation in meetings and conferences across national boundaries
• Foster school curricula that encourage international understanding and goodwill, and a respect for the human rights and dignity across all races and cultures

In March 2007 iNet signed a memorandum of understanding with ICP. We anticipate that by working together we will be able to support schools in the following:

• Build capacity for leadership throughout our schools
• Develop partnerships between schools, associations and international bodies
• Develop a bank of knowledge, rooted in current best practice, that will be widely available to support and influence decision makers
• Develop next practice
