A number of schools in England already have links with schools in the Gambia. As a result, a small working group chaired by Sir Alasdair Macdonald, Headteacher of Morpeth School in Tower Hamlets, has been considering whether there would be a benefit in bringing these links together under the umbrella of iNet and forming wider strategic partnerships.
A working group of three headteachers will be visiting the country at the end of June to pursue the possibilities discussed in a draft memorandum of understanding with Gambia’s education department and to confirm whether Gambian schools can be the next African iNet members.
