iNet Wales workshops

These workshops showcase different approaches that schools are developing to remodel key stage 3. They will combine theory and practice through a keynote presentation and showcases from schools in Wales and England.

Key questions

• Many students disengage from their learning in key stage 3. What can be done to ensure that all students enter key stage 4 fully engaged? How far does the key stage 3 curriculum need to change?
• Should a two-year key stage 3 be for all students or just for some? If a two-year curriculum 3 is adopted, what should be done for the extra year?
• How can we ensure a better transition from primary to secondary in terms of continuity and progression in (i) the curriculum (ii) pedagogy and conditions of learning and (iii) personalising learning?
