Overview

One of the ways to address staffing issues is to develop leadership capacity. In these workshops for primary and secondary school teachers, participants will explore the role of the teacher, their leadership skills in the classroom, and how these skills can be developed to meet the high expectations placed on schools.

By utilising their skills, and releasing their potential, teachers can lead innovation more easily and take responsibility for a range of different areas. Participants will be provided with practical strategies so that classroom teachers can become leaders of learning. The role of the learner and the ways in which students can actively co-construct their learning will also be a key strand of the workshops.

How do we build leadership capacity in the classroom? What skill set does it require? How are these skills promoted and developed?
What is the role of the educator and the learner in the 21st century?
How do schools and teachers begin the journey towards personalisation rather than standardisation?
Can an individual begin this journey without forsaking accountability?

Booking information

The workshops cost £100 for primary schools and £200 for secondary schools. There is a £25 discount if a second delegate from the same school attends.
