5th iNet International Conference, 26 28 November 2008

These events are for school leaders who would like to contribute to the system leadership movement. They aim to develop the movement so that changes both locally and nationally are sustainable.

Led by Professor David Hopkins, HSBC iNet Chair of International Leadership, each event will:

• Offer a broad overview of system leadership, before drilling down into specific areas of investigation
• With the aid of leading headteachers, explore different approaches adopted by different schools
• Provide delegates with an opportunity to discuss how to apply the ideas in their own schools

By attending these conferences you will see how to apply system leadership in a range of different contexts. You will leave with the skills, knowledge and confidence to:

• Actively improve student learning for every child across a number of schools, narrow achievement gaps and increase overall attainment
• Combine high expectations and an understanding of best practice with the ability to transfer this knowledge to other schools
• Change school and local level systems and structures to ensure that improvements are sustainable and long-lasting
