developing the well-being agenda and offers practical steps for
implementing well-being strategies for both students and staff.
Students who are anxious, angry or depressed don’t learn; people

This conference explores the following key themes:
- Enhancing the emotional health and welfare of young people
- Creating conditions which lead to student well-being and how to
break down barriers which hinder their development
- The critical relationship between student and staff
well-being
- Creating more intelligent workplaces
- Ensuring students play a role in the process of creating happy
schools
You will leave this conference with
up-to-date information about the well-being agenda, how schools are
responding to it and the latest research and initiatives such as
Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL).
Showcases from schools in Northern
Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England will explore the various
approaches to leading happy schools.

Booking information
The conference will be held on 15 May 2008 at the Park Plaza, Belfast
International Airport. The fee per delegate is £175.
Travel and accommodation are not included in the
fee.
