Would you like to have a greater understanding and consider how best to meet the needs of children and young people in your unique context?

In the years following the pandemic, a multitude of reports, including Ofsted’s Covid-19 briefing in 2020, highlighted the detrimental effects it had on all learners, including those with SEND. What’s even more concerning is the longer lasting impact we continue to witness in classrooms nationwide, affecting learners’ well-being, mental health, learning behaviour, social interactions, and beyond.

We invite you to join this webinar series to reflect on the needs of children and young people, in your context, through the lens of the six underpinning principles of SSAT’s Children’s Charter. You will have the opportunity to develop your own practice to effectively meet all children’s and young people’s needs now and in the future.

To maximise the impact of these webinars we recommend that school teams watch together in the same space to enable discussion and action planning opportunities for which will be built into each of the webinars.

Benefits

The webinar series will build on and enhance the work all leaders, teachers and support staff are currently doing to meet the needs of learners.

It will provide you with an opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the national picture for children and young people across each of the six principles, hearing from guest speakers at each event, as well as time to discuss and reflect upon how the wider themes impact and relate to your own school community.

Join us to:

  • Gain valuable insight into the current national picture, research and data from academics and thought leaders.
  • Take time to collaborate with members of your staff team during the webinar to identify current priorities for your learners.
  • Hear examples of good practice from other schools.
  • Create next steps and further actions to take forward in school after the webinar.
